Information/Data Specialist

Information/Data Specialist Job Responsibilities:
work with both internal and external clients to resolve problems
interface with vendors and contractors regarding billing and various equipment and services
create and maintain databases, forecasts, files and memos in various software programs
analyze data and develop reports and forecasts
may be required to develop dispatch plans for daily central office work loads
assist with cost comparisons, and bid evaluations when new vendor contracts are under review
work simultaneously with multiple computer applications and databases
Skills Required:
desk top related computer skills
good written and oral communication
ability to analyze large amounts of data
Special Requirements:
able to sit for long periods of time
must enjoy working with complex information and data
sometimes requires working in a room that's cooler than usual due to the needs of computer equipment
high degree of speed and accuracy
may be required to work nights or weekends

Information/Data Specialist Description:
You'll work in an office environment using various software programs to create and maintain databases, spreadsheets and forecasts. You'll sort, compare and update data to help make the business more efficient and profitable. You may also process high volumes of paperowrk suchas bills, vouchers, payments, claims, service order and trouble reports. In addition to using a computer, you'll also interface via telephone with internal employers, customers, and vendors to solve problems and talk an occasional customer complaint. This is a great job for someone with good computer sills who would like to work their way up in a telecom compnay. You'll learn a lot along the way.
